Activities

The activities of P.E.A.R.L.S., Inc. target education, leadership, the arts and family. We rely on individuals and organizations to aid us in reaching various objectives. Girl Scouts: We serve as role models in “Scouting Behind and Beyond Bars,” a program sponsored locally by the Rolling Hills Council that targets girls whose mothers are incarcerated. For more information, visit http://www.girlscouts-rh.org/.

Maurice M. Williams Scholarship Luncheon: This event honors educator Maurice Williams, a charter member of Nu Xi Omega. Williams has received numerous honors for her work in the field of education and served as principal at three NJ schools. The luncheon recognizes high school scholars and celebrates achievements made by local residents in education, health, economics and the arts. Provided $20,000.00 in scholarship assistance to the youth of Middlesex and Somerset Counties - Maurice M. Williams Scholarship.  For more information, contact scholarship@nuxiomega.org.

The DIAMOND and P.E.A.R.L.S. Scholarship: This award is sponsored by The DIAMOND Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic foundation of the New Brunswick Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. in partnership with P.E.A.R.L.S., Inc.  The DIAMOND Foundation's primary mission is to provide educational opportunities to children in need. The Foundation supports this initiative with the cooperation of P.E.A.R.L.S. by selecting a young man annually to receive this award.  This partnership enabled us to award a $1,000.00 scholarship and a laptop and printer.  For more information, contact scholarship@nuxiomega.org.
