Attention H.S. Seniors and
Guidance Counselors:
Applications are now available
for our “Maurice Williams
Scholarship” and "Diamonds
and Pearls Scholarship".
The
chapter awards a maximum of
$5,500 in scholarships each year
to graduating minority high
school female students through
proceeds from our Bowling For
Scholars Party, online florist (http://www.nuxiomegaflowers.org),
and other fundraising
activities. One scholarship is
awarded based on community
service, the other is awarded
for academic accomplishments. We
also provide funds to past award
recipients, which is in line
with our goal of supporting
young women throughout their
college career.
The DIAMOND and PEARLS
Scholarship:
This award is sponsored by The
DIAMOND Foundation, Inc.,
the
philanthropic foundation of the
New Brunswick Alumni Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
in partnership with P.E.A.R.L.S.,
Inc. The DIAMOND Foundation's
primary mission is to provide
educational opportunities to
children in need. The Foundation
supports this initiative with
the cooperation of P.E.A.R.L.S.
by selecting a young man
annually to receive this award.
